I just brought the site back to life so that people can stop reminding me that it's down. Please note that probably most if not all content is outdated. I'll try to update stuff as soon as possible.

    A great TYPO3 GUI [update]

In typo3.design Lasse Nørby posted some screenshots of skin grey - a back end skin for TYPO3. The third screenshot seems to be more like a mockup but I really like it!

I like it very much as it looks more like a regular desktop application or the windows explorer with menus on top, a tree on the left and the content on the right. Another thing I like is the shortcuts area on the very right side which gives them more importance.

    [update]

Lasse just reported that it actually exists and therefore is no mockup! He got this GUI working using iframes although  Opera seems to have some problems with it. As an alternative he played with AJAX, too but is still somewhat strugling with it. So if you think you could be of any help for Lasse contact him.

What do you think, would you like to see such a back end in TYPO3?

    Hi!
Thank you for your comments! And thank you Ingo for putting it up on your site.
This skin was under development a while back, but due to some unexpected incidents, I've kinda run my head against the wall a couple of times now. The skin is far from complete, and I really need some help from people who know their way around PHP and maybe AJAX.. I will pick up on development again, but it will at least take some weeks to get it to be stable enough to use.
If you want to help with, please mail me at zamiams@gmail.com
    Thank you!

@Lasse: Why aren't you creating a project on the wiki page? We all like to see your skin in action. It's one of the best inventions i would see for 4.5..
